Sleep deprivation issue, any suggestions?

Sleep deprivation issue, any suggestions?
right so i go to sleep from monday - friday at about 10pm but it usually takes me an hour to get to sleep so i sleep at 11 then wake up at 7 or 6am. so i get around eight - 7 hours sleep each night but my cat wakes me up through out the night so about 6hours.
nearing the end of the week i end up extremely tired, like now, but i cant sleep.
anyone know any easy methods of getting to sleep faster or any suggestions to generally stop me feeling tired?

  1. Read a book (boring one of course) - it works wonders.

  2. hey - i agree with the first answer. try to spend at least 30 minutes before going to bed just relaxing and try to relax in bed as well - dont worry about when you're going to go to sleep. also, there are things available that can help you sleep - i prefer kalms becuase its natural and herbal rather than drugging you up. if it carries on go to your doctor. good luck and i hope it improves soon x

  3. If I have trouble sleeping I take 2 Tylenol Simply Sleep. These wee blue capsules are brilliant. They are non-habit forming but they give you a lovely sleep for when you are havin trouble. If you live in the UK you'll have to order them online as they come from the States. I got mine on ebay and a wee pot will last you ages. Also, don't eat sugary or fatty foods before going to bed as they will keep your body active.

  4. Firstly, keep the cat out of the room, so your sleep doesn't get interrupted - that'd help. Secondly, try to do enough during the day so you would feel tired & get the full night's sleep. Plus of course, eat healthily & exercise more.
