Does anyone have any tips on falling asleep? Specifically, for while you are lying in bed?

Does anyone have any tips on falling asleep? Specifically, for while you are lying in bed?
I don't mean, "Is there anything I can do to prepare to fall asleep?" I know, don't excercise, take a sleep aid etc.

  1. I have the same problem, you lay there in bed just thinking for what seems like hours, then next thing you know it has been hours. And then you think even more because you need to get up early and you stayed up all night thinking, then you think more and more. And it just keeps you up all night. Well thats what happens to me, I find that calming your brain using breathing techniques, doing something that makes you tired such as reading, or drinking beer before bed. All these things help me sleep, in fact; I am enjoying a Bed Time Beer as we speak.Hope I helped? Source(s): Same issue.

  2. do plenty of excersise DURING the day and then stretch before you go to bed Source(s): my friend had trouble sleeping

  3. When I can never fall asleep it is usually because I am thinking seriously about something. You could have that same problem so, all you have to do is listen to music or turn on the tv to distract your mind from that serious thinking.

  4. You may be too hot. There is a set temperature that makes your body ready for sleep.
