Waking up with nausea in the night?

Waking up with nausea in the night?
its happened a few nights this month where i wake up somewhere between 12-3 AM with really bad nausea, not a stomach ache, just nausea, but never throw up. Could this be from over eating/ eating too close to bed/ anxiety?

  1. Could be from eating too close to bed time. Our body slows down at night and if you're eating right before going to sleep, the food is really just sitting in your stomach. If it persists, you really should go see a doctor. Also they say when you eat you shouldn't lay down for at least an hour, so your body can digest the food properly.

  2. It could be from acidity or GERD. Try getting some over the counter Xantac. Try taking that once a day for a few days and see if it prevents the problem.
